Merchant Navy  is highest paid industry in the world this was stated by  Rajesh Sharma CEO Sunrise while speaking at a function on Sunday organised in Ashoka Hotel to felicitate first three girls from Jammu who recently joined the Merchant Navy as Desk Cadets sponsored by Shipping  Corporation of India to encourage the girls of Jammu and Kashmir to join the Merchant Navy. He further said that many students have  already  been sponsored by Sunrise to world’s leading Chipping companies like V ships MSC, AET Silhelmsen, Anglo Eastern, SCI and Bernhard.

Lt Commander (Retd) Jagbir Singh was the Chief Guest, he  while addressing girls and  boys said this is in the best field to joining adding that his son Captain Harinder Singh is also working in Shipping Corporation of India as a Captain for the last eleven years.  Manpreet Kour, SEO Sunsrise said students who are doing four years Engineer Degree and thereafter two years MBA and search for a job just for Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000 but in Merchant Navy, students become a Chief Officer within six years and can draw salary of Rupees  2-4 lakh per month provided they  have good marks/percentage in PCM, 65 per cent and Eng, 60 per cent in twelfth class. On the occasion Manmeet Kour and Manpreet Kour were also felicitated by Sunrise.
